Virtual National Students’ Anti-Corruption Challenge (VNSAC)

  • "It was inspired by the desire to include young people in conversations..."

The Virtual National Students Anti-Corruption Challenge (VNSAC) was launched as a COVID19 response at a time when all schools were closed. It was inspired by the desire to include young people in conversations happening at the time and some of the questions arising from procurements and other related public discussions. We explored virtual platforms to engage young people. The inaugural edition in 2021 had 60 Participants. We have since engaged over 60,000 students through debates, poetry, skits and story telling using multiple online channels.

This challenge which directly engaged over 330 and reached over 750,000 others online has seen participants make presentations before very high-profile people including the President of the Republic of Uganda at the 2021 International Anti-Corruption Day. The 3rd edition of this unique challenge is having 460 directly participating and over 1.5 million engaged online. NSAC is fully sponsored by GIZ and supported by anti-corruption agencies.
